Cloud is an asian guy with black hair and brown eyes. He was born in China, but calls Vancouver, where he attends the University of British Columbia his home.

Sometimes called Mr. Cloud by one of his past teachers, Cloud is a full-time slacker but is studying biomedical and electrical engineering on the side, sort of as a hobby, you might say. A couple of his other hobbies include hockey and cars; the same, coincidentally, as every other guy in Vancouver. On Friday nights, you can usually find him studying. Sometimes on Saturday nights, he studies. You can find him studying almost certainly on Sunday night. On Monday night, however, he has choir rehearsals (real men join choir). On all other nights he studies in between slacking off.

The big ball of white fluff is fascinated by many things, and if he had to choose a major to study, he would choose all of them. But since the administration at UBC does not approve of that, he studies Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, at the second year level as of the academic year 2006-2007. Cloud absolutely loves music and everything related to music, which is why he is a member of the UBC Choral Union, and hopes to find enough time (in between slacking sessions) to join a concert band or orchestra. He is also in the UBC Dance Club, much to his surprise. His favorite courses (at the time of writing) are Circuit Analysis, and English. He believes, however, that a course is made interesting by its professor, not its content.

Cloud loves his car, and just got his class five license, after spending three years in the province’s driver training system. His car is not modified, and he intends to keep it that way. He does, however, appreciate the beauty of a tastefully modified one. Cloud spends a bit too much time washing and waxing his own car. Sometimes it seems to him that he washes his car more than he washes himself. Waxing, however…

Going by the internet handle of clicknext, Cloud would not be anywhere close to where he currently is without his friends, and is inexpressibly grateful for having them. His life and his days are made infinitely more enjoyable by them. If he had to choose between saving a friend and saving himself, he would choose potatoes.

Oh, speaking of potatoes, he absolutely loves oranges! Their color, texture, and taste reflect his sunny, sweet, juicy, high-fibre, seedless personality. He owns a clipboard in orange, as well as a shirt, shorts, wristband, and textbook in that color. Ironically, that textbook is one of his least favorite. His favorite textbook is Calculus by James Stewart. Believe him when he says that it is a truly amazing book, and trust him when he tells you to love it, and not to take it for granted.

Cloud could probably go on indefinitely writing random things in third person, but that’s going to happen in the blog portion, though more likely in first person. Cloud thinks it might be interesting to attempt to write a blog in second person, but he leaves that up to the more adventurous of you out there.

Have fun reading Cloud’s blog, and make sure you leave comments, as well as links to your own blogs!

Your name is Shao, Cloud Shao. Interestingly, you were born on the 224th day or, 225th day in leap years in the Gregorian calendar. Mandarin and English are the main languages you use in a daily basis as well as Gibberish too, may also be evident once in a while. Eddie, your little brother, seems to be everything opposite of you. For your studies, you coincidentally have the identical UBC courses with your fellow classmate, Andrew Robinson, who is also a member of the UBC dance club just like you. Do not worry my friend, even though you both seem to have a lot of things in common, he is not attracted to you. You do love your yellow Mazda dearly and of course, Bruce Pullan too. Your friend May Wong from China, Canada and England knows numerous members from the UBC Choral Union that you are participating in. You are grateful that the weekend has almost arrived so you can indeed study hard and think up, rather than party hard and drink up.
