It’s SNOOOOOOOOOWWWWWIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG!!!!!!
Angels we have on heard high
Sweetly singing ore the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains
That’s just so fascinating. It suddenly feels a lot like Christmas! Today was the Santa Claus parade in the morning. I didn’t go, but I was like a block away, playing hockey at 8:30 in the morning! The paved rink was more like an ice rink this morning because there was so much ice! It was freezing! Ironically, having all that ice totally smoothed out the rink, because normally there are all these uneven spots.
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give it to someone special
I came home, laid my head down on my desk, and slept for half an hour. And then after I woke up I felt tired still so I lied on my bed and slept another hour and a half. Woo that felt good. It feels soooo good to sleep sometimes! It’s ridiculous how good it feels…
Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy-cozy are we
We’re snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would be
Let’s take that road before us and sing a chorus or two
Come on, it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you
Then I went to the mall, and it started snowing. It was crazy! It felt really unreal because I’ve really lost track of time this year. Things have been so busy that it really doesn’t feel very long ago that I was in the sun on the beach relaxing, on the mountain stargazing, and working early shifts at Esso.
I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There’s just one thing I need
I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don’t need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won’t make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
Driving is a pretty interesting experience with this new snow. My tires say all-season, but in reality they’re closer to no-season, especially not winter. The ABS comes on when I brake lightly going 20 km. And I can’t launch for the life of me without spinning the wheels!
O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
It’s gonna be an interesting week! First final is just a bit more than a week away! And it’s the end of the term this week!! So excited… it really does feel like christmas.
One last thing… Christmas Concert! UBC Choral Union, University Singers, and Symphony Orchestra! Come! It’ll be worth it! Tickets $12 for students in advance at the Chan Centre box office, or from ticketmaster (not available at the door, because it sells out, I think). Saturday December 2nd, at 8:00 PM! =) See YOU there!
