I was writing my blog in IE and somehow it just lost all of it mysteriously when I hit post.
Some lessons learned in the past week…
- Never use IE to write blogs.
- Never use IE, period.
- Do NOT try to sneak an elegantly constructed sentence into an APSC 201 report, because you will just have marks heavily docked, and be labelled an artsy.
- DO use short, grade one level sentences with ridiculous technical terms that don’t mean anything.
- DO downplay any risks to your company as much as possible. (ie, “Bridge construction concerns,” rather than “Catastropic bridge failure resulting in lots of death.”)
- Do not write a KCL for the output node of an operational amplifier. (NOOO WAAAAAY!!!)
- Appreciate the situation you’re in because you might never be in it again.
- Opportunity comes knocking all the time. You just have to step up and answer the call.
- Don’t stick a big sharp metal needle in a plastic bag, put it in your backpack, and expect it not to stab you.
It was a hectic week. Midterms completed: 8/12. Average mark so far: bad.
I got Final Fantasy XII. I’ve got a strange way of thinking. I’ve been in a sort of motivational rut in the past month or so now, just can’t find the energy to go out and do things quickly. Can’t find the motivation to finish things before 12:00 so I actually get some sleep. So I thought, maybe if I got FFXII, it’d motivate me to finish things so I would have time for it. But of course, that could backfire in lots of ways.
I installed Windows Vista. Not final version yet, but it’s pretty good. No major bugs I can see, drivers work well, and even games work! Pretty nice to use, and it’s faster than XP (it better be, after taking up 1.5 GB of RAM)
*sleeps*
