Currently: Sweating

This is the preliminary timeline our Dr. Nasiopoulos laid out for the week, in EECE 256:

  • Tuesday October 24: Take a quiz, have tutorial, receive quiz back, sweat a bit
  • Wednesday October 25: Go home, have a shower
  • Thursday October 26: Take the midterm, sweat a lot

It’s so sad how it’s this early in the school year and people are pulling all nighters studying already. Well, I guess it’s not early since it’s getting to late-middle of the term, but still, finals are far off yet!

It’s even more sad that I’ve become one of the ones who work till 1 or 2 AM every night. Well, one thing I’ve learned… extra curricular activities don’t make up for rest time.

I think I’m getting sick. Been sniffling since the weekend and now my nose is running. But no tell-tale sign of a sore throat yet, though, so I’m hopeful.

Never realized how many people I really know! UBC used to be a big unfamiliar, unknown place, but now it seems like everywhere I go I can run into someone, or sit down somewhere where I feel at home. Think I’m getting over the talking to strangers thing… talking to random people every day now because it’s boring to just sit there and read. Haha, I think I freak people out, though. I’m sorry to all the people I freaked out. =P But hey, lots of people are coming up and talking to me randomly!

Sometimes I think being in engineering and sciences, we forget that people in other faculties have difficult courses and busy schedules and things to worry about too. Sometimes I wonder if we just make the jokes about artsies to make ourselves feel better about not being able to take any fun courses.

How does an oscilloscope work? The graph is amplitude vs time. And the centre is current time, making the left past time, and the right… future time?!?! I think we’ve just discovered the secret to predicting the future! And also the secret to time travel. Of course, to time travel, the option of travelling really fast backwards remains open.

Dance club is fun! I really do wish I had more time to devote to it and actually practice once in a blue moon. Don’t know if I should go to the dance on Friday! My outlook for the remainder of this week:

Thursday

  1. EECE 280 Lab
  2. APSC 201 Midterm
  3. EECE 256 Midterm

Friday

  1. Hand in EECE 251
  2. Hand in MATH 263
  3. Hand in CPSC 260

Saturday

  1. Co-op workshop for 4 hours!!!
  2. Do lots and lots and lots of homework

Sunday

  1. Collapse
  2. Sleep

Monday

  • Wake up

    Yeah…

A brief thought… I’m going to try to do everything completely opposite! Maybe that’d work. Must stray outwards…

Also must go to sleep. Averaging 6 hours of sleep a night is pretty indicative of how much I’ve lost control of my life! C’est horrible, ne? I’m sorry to all of you who get less than that. =P You’ve got my respect because I don’t know how you could ever survive.

    Tomorrow is Wednesday! Happy day!
